# 🪙 Key Concepts ## 💡 Concepts - **Securities or tokenized securities:** Financial instruments issued as tokens. - **Client platforms / Institutions** Clients of NYALA who are using our tokenization solution. We also refer to them as "institutions". For example, the `institutionID` parameter you must send to our API in payloads is the client ID for your institution. - **Investors or customers:** Your clients who invest in various tokenization assets. - **Issuers:** Legal entities that issue financial assets for the purpose of raising funding from investors. - **Projects:** Relate to specific fundraising projects. Each project can contain one or several tokenized securities. - **Blockchain wallets:** Digital tools that manage the keys (public & private) to interact with a blockchain, letting users send, receive, and store tokens. In our setup, wallets can be secured by our licensed custodian partners Tangany GmbH, or by the bank Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe, or can be brought by the client (external wallets). - **Crypto custodian** or just Custodian: a regulated entity that safeguards the private keys controlling ownership of digital assets on behalf of clients. In our setup, custody is provided by our licensed partners Tangany GmbH and Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe, ensuring institutional-grade security and regulatory compliance for all tokens held on the platform.
